As human beings, much of our lives revolve around being connected with other people. We strive to form relationships with the people we know, like our family and friends. But, at the same time, meeting new people can be one of the most inspiring things. We can learn so much from our connections, and so much growth happens when we open ourselves up to receive the knowledge and love that others have to share.

Did you know that we are far more connected than you might have realized? We made these connections before we even came into this life. This happened on a soul level, and everything that happens throughout our lives is arranged during this time in the “in-between.” These connections are called our soul family. Today we are going to take an interesting look at how our soul family works to our benefit, even when it doesn’t seem like it at the moment.
Soul Families Explained
Everyone is aware of the concept of family. Even if you do not have an actual biological family that you grew up with, you will have a close-knit group of people who have played a part in raising you and instilling those morals and values that have made you who you are today. Family can even extend to your friends. Some people find a closer connection to their friends than those they were born to or were raised by. There is no right or wrong definition of family, provided it comes from a place of love.
When it comes to soul families, this is (as the name suggests) on a soul level. We are not limited to our physical family. If you are reading this, you are most likely part of the QHHT soul family. We consist of lovers of everything spiritual. All the weird conversations you want to have that some of your friends don’t understand are completely accepted here. This is the point of a soul family. They may not be blood relatives, but they are members of your family on a soul level.
Julia Cannon like to refer to your soul family as your tribe. They are your people, and they understand you as if they grew up with you as biological siblings. When you meet a member of your soul family in this physical plain (once you have reincarnated on Earth) it’s as if you have known them all along. You have this instantaneous connection where conversation and energy exchange flows so easily. There is a strange, yet wonderful, feeling of familiarity between you.
Soul Families Provide Lessons
If you are a frequent visitor to our live chats, or read these articles often enough, you might already know that there is no such thing as coincidences. Nothing happens by chance, it is all pre-designed by ourselves, our spirit guides, and our soul family. Before we come to this life, we make arrangements with other our soul family that we will play certain roles in each other’s lives. This is for the purpose of experiencing everything there is to experience as a human being. One member of your soul family might be your mother in this life, and another might be your best friend, or possibly even your least favorite person. Each relationship is designed in a certain way to provide lessons in life.
Let’s say you and your mother do not have the best of child-parent relationships. Many people wonder to themselves, “Why me? Why my parents?” Sure, this can seem consuming at the time. But, it is important to note that you and your mother chose that type of relationship before you came into this life. It was designed in a certain way so that your mother would learn the hardships of a bad relationship with their child. On the other side of the coin, you would learn similar lessons, but as a child who has an overbearing, or distant parent.
The same goes for friendships. Let’s say you have a best friend, but that ended with a terrible falling out. The purpose was to provide a lesson for yourself, and your best friend with life lessons. It is all part of the experience, you see.
We Come Back to the Same Soul Family
The familiarity we spoke of is also not without reason. We feel like we have known some people for eons, and not just in the number of years we have known them during this life. This is because you have known them for eons. You have traveled through the universe living many lives together. Some have joined your family at later stages, but many have reincarnated with you into each life. With each reincarnation, you exchange roles. So, you might have been your best friend’s father in one life, or possibly their lover in another.
This happens so we might get the most out of our experiences. One cannot say they have experienced it all until you have shared multiple kinds of relationships with our soul family. Some of these connections might not be as pleasant as you would hope they would be. But, that is the point. Not every experience is light and fluffy as the most growth we grow through comes from the painful ones. These require us to step out of our comfort zone. Some members of your soul family might inspire you to take a big leap of faith in terms of your career, others might trigger a downpour of negative emotions. Either way, they are just as crucial to your personal growth.
