Getting into an altered state of consciousness, now that is the question of the century, is it not? When we talk about an altered state of consciousness, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Is it the latest psychedelic substance that has been curated for the purpose of mind expansion? These substances are sure to open your eyes to a world of new ideas or thought patterns, but they are not the only option. We are here today to talk about the various ways in which we can get into that state of consciousness, without having to take something to help you get there. There are so many methods to achieve this and the benefits that go with are undoubtedly the best way to help you move forward in life.

Altered State of Consciousness Explained
If you think about your consciousness in a linear form, it’s almost as if we adopt patterns within our consciousness that make up our reactions, behaviors, beliefs, or disbeliefs. If you are able to alter your state of consciousness, you might be able to break up and change those patterns that once served you, but are now blocking your path. The universe has a very simple way of communicating to us its laws, and those laws are simple in themselves. Our lesson here on Earth is to learn how to adopt those laws, whilst being heavily influenced, and at times, weighed down by our human emotions. This is where altering your consciousness comes in. It is allowing yourself to think differently, and to accept different ways of being by facilitating the breaking down of our old habits that are only holding us back.
Altered State of Consciousness and Trance State
Many people are well versed with meditating and going under hypnosis (QHHT), but for those that are not, once you finally reach that deep, restful, and peaceful thing. But it is also an amazing method to get you into a trance-like state. The trance state is the start in your conscious shift, and by engaging with your tance state, you can alter your state of consciousness. Imagine it as if the trance state is the place where you can access information from the universe, and in that place you can download upgrades to alter your state of consciousness positively and all for progression.
You may not realize how much altering your state of consciousness can help you with your everyday lives. Like we have mentioned, when you go into your trance-state, you can access and download information that will help you behave in a way that is more desirable to yourself and others. Imagine if your best friend of all times starts an argument with you, saying some seriously horrible things. What is your typical reaction? Do you get all riled up and react to match your friend’s lower vibration? Or, do you choose not to react? That is one of the best aspects of human beings, our free will. We have the ability to choose not to react to those situations and lower our own vibration. And it is by altering your state of consciousness that you are able to fully grasp this concept and put it to action.
The same can be applied to physical exercise. Not all of us have the ability of hardcore endurance, and a lot of us struggle with the motivation to get going, and then to find the stamina to keep it up. Of course we are not only applying this to exercise, but it can also be applied to your want to succeed in life. Meditation or QHHT sessions can seriously help you gain the motivation you have been craving, maybe without even realizing it.
Your consciousness and your higher self
If you are not already aware of your higher self, it may be a good time to get to know them a little better, seeing as they are the much bigger part of you that is energetically a part of the universe. Your higher self is the part of you that is all knowing, it is the part of you that remembers your path before you experience it. The messages you receive, if you have become aware of those, are from your higher self, nudging you in certain directions, and reassuring you that you are on the right path.
It is essential for your spiritual growth and your personal growth here on earth, to learn how to communicate with your higher self, and this can be done so by tuning in through meditation and hypnosis, or even lucid dreaming.
Methods for Altering your State of Consciousness
There are numerous ways in which you can alter your state of consciousness, and not one is more correct than the other. It is up to you to find the most efficient method for yourself. Here are a few examples that you can try out.

Of course this is the first option, and for good reason too! QHHT is a great method of hypnosis that deals with your energetic self. By undergoing QHHT sessions you can access deeper parts of yourself, your higher self, past lives, and more. Meditation, as it has been mentioned before, is the oldest trick in the book for getting yourself into a trance state. And it is during this state that you can alter your state of consciousness.

When you are lucid dreaming, you are aware of yourself and you are conscious in a way. During this dream state you can manipulate your dream consciously, thus altering your state of consciousness

The road to transcendence is not one that ever ends here on earth, it is a constant effort on your part.
