In a recent dream of Julia Cannon, where she was playing the role of a school nurse, she found a tiny baby, who was unfortunately no longer alive, lying on a table. In her dream she was about to leave, so she left thinking she would deal with the baby later. When she came back, there was a second much smaller baby. She quickly realized that the second baby was still alive, but this was all as she was waking up, and when she finally arose, you can only imagine the confusion that this slightly disturbing dream left her with.

Dream Symbols
It is pretty common knowledge now that dreams are an accumulation of symbology that is created by our subconscious. It is a beautiful way for us to see the way that the spiritual world communicates to us. We so often overlook messages from the higher beings because they might be a little cryptic. But, if you think about it like this, where a picture can say a thousand words, then a symbol could say a million.
If we look at Julia’s dream, the main symbol in it is an infant child. Typically, a baby symbolizes many things like new beginnings, new ideas, imagination, hope, and the need to nurture. You could say that Julia had experienced some new thoughts recently, and the higher beings are urging her to nurture those trains of thought, or that they are positive starts to a new chapter. But, if you want to take it to that woo-woo level, it almost sounds like Julia’s subconscious tapped into another life where she was doing some hybrid engineering that our famous extraterrestrials are so notorious for. The fact that she found the babies on a doctor’s table while playing the role of a school nurse – the symbols are all there!
Dreaming and QHHT
Dreams are more apparent when you have finished your REM cycle, and you are in that lighter stage of sleep – right before you wake up, your brain acts on theta waves. This is the subconscious playground. What is interesting is that we also can shift into theta mode when we are in a deeply relaxed state of mind, or during hypnosis. This makes the connection to dreams, QHHT, and our past lives that much clear.
The Importance of Sleep
It might seem a bit patronizing to be told how important it is that we get a decent amount of sleep each night, surely no one has to be told twice to take a rest. But, what is interesting is a study I read the other day about the introduction of daylight savings. There were studies done on the impact of having one whole hour less of sleep each night, and the results saw a massive increase in the number of heart attacks and strokes, changes in appetite, poor decisions due to impaired concentration.
Let’s look at how not sleeping well affects your emotional wellbeing. As physical beings, we generally spend about one-third of our lives in a somewhat non-physical state – sleeping! You will still have your physical body, but you are focused on the dream world so you do not feel the physicality of your bodies, including all interactions. Sleeping, or dreaming, is important because we can go back to that one-third of our lives to a non-physical state, where we are more free and perceptive of symbols and interpretations. His sleep experience to us is an incredible sense of renewal where we can reconnect to who we are as non-physical beings. By avoiding that part of yourself and shortening the amount of sleep you have each night by prioritizing other, more physical, parts of you, you are only doing yourself a great disservice because sleep is very much a part of expanding your spirituality.
Practicing Sleep Hygiene
Many people do not believe that spirituality has anything to do with sleep. But spirituality is very much based on your emotional standpoint. If you are sleep-deprived, you will be more irritable, and gratitude will be much more scarce. You will most likely be living on a lower vibration because you have not had sufficient sleep, and this is not conducive to spiritual growth.
We have a little bit of homework for you. That is to practice a better routine of sleep hygiene. There are various forms of hygiene that help you to be more accepted in society, like bodily hygiene, or dental hygiene – they are all important. Hygienic sleep patterns can be as simple as avoiding the blue light from screens just before you go to sleep. As primal beings, it is not normal for us to be exposed to blazing light well after the sun has set. We need to mindfully practice shutting off as the sun is setting, or waking up as it rises. I like to do a little bit of yoga as the sun is setting because I feel a sense of magic during that time.
We are all very different beings, and this includes the sleep cycles that we need. This means it is important to take stock of how you are nurturing the quality of sleep you are getting, and how that is affecting your lifestyle. So many of us think that we can’t afford the amount of sleep we need. You’re only depriving yourself, and this is going to take a toll eventually. A healthy and hygienic sleep pattern is the best way to help you in the long run. Being well-rested is beneficial to your mood, decision-making, physical functions, societal functions, and many more aspects of your day-to-day lives.
Final Thoughts
It is too easy to give in to the demands we place on ourselves, thinking, what’s the worst that could happen, and you set your alarm regardless. But, what if you could avoid all the anxiety, and stress that you feel from not having enough sleep? Give yourself a week of practicing good sleep hygiene, you will not regret it.
